MIDIDROP MUSIC

Saturday 4th April sees the launch of 54 London’s Light Side parties.
After the global search for the producers of tomorrow, which found
talent in the shape of Parisian producer, David Federmann and Bristol
Born DJ, Owain K, the Light Side is fired up and ready to make waves
in the dance scene.
With a host of incredible DJs lined up on the night to provide a
musical feast of deep house in East London’s coolest, most cutting
edge venue, 54, you can rest assured the Light Side will be launched
with the unfaltering style and standard 54 Music is already becoming
synonymous with.
Hailed as ‘the most exciting thing to happen to UK house music’ by
Jockey Slut, headliner Milton Jackson is well on his way to becoming
one of the biggest names in the scene. His productions have already
received backing from legendary figures in electronic music such as
Carl Cox, and after extensive tours playing out to the biggest dance
floors in the world, as well as remixes and collaborations with the
likes of Shur-I-Kan, Andy Cato and Mylo, no one can question
Jackson’s incredible talent and ability to rock a crowd hard. And with
two nominations in the Beatport awards (Best Deep House Artist and
Best House Track) ahead of his forthcoming second album, things are
set to get even better for him in 2009.
Alongside Milton, and making an exclusive UK appearance on the
night is Daniel Kyo. Preceding two upcoming releases on 54 Music,
Kyo has been backed by artists such as Laurent Garnier and Johnny
Fiasco and is tipped as one of the major players in the Deep House
scene. Having already toured all over Europe, sharing the booth with
the likes of the seriously cool Italoboyz, he’s now UK bound to work
our scene up with some deep European sounds.
Freerange Records’ Matt Masters, and DJ/producer and friend Mr
Chenzo, aka MidiDropMusic, have been working together long enough
to make serious noise in the deep house world. Having already
remixed incredible artists such as Jimpster, they throw out faultless
studio gems and receive plaudits left, right and centre from the
people that matter. And completing this already stellar line up is the
runner up from the light side of the competition, Owain K. The Bristol
born DJ impressed the label with his take on eclectic house, and
thanks to his years spent working in the studio, and ability to fend off
competition from hundreds of worldwide producers, is well on his way
to domination in the scene.
With all these amazing artists boxed into the intimate red
surroundings of Bar 54, you can only expect that magic will happen…
