Currently, Jay-J is considering a move to New York. Fueling his excitement for this move is the once-in-the-lifetime opportunity to work with music industry legend, Jellybean Benitez. Jellybean Benitez is one of the first DJs turned producer who scored hits for artists like Madonna, Whitney Houston, Billy Joel and the Pointer Sisters. And since Jay-J is thinking about producing MUSIC, not just house music he says, ‘There is not much of a music industry in San Francisco outside of the dance music industry’. He adds, ‘I see this as an opportunity for new influences to keep ‘my sound’ evolving. I feel that New York will expose me to a limitless supply of influences from which to draw. I’m thinking about what I want to be doing 10 years from now. I’m thinking long term.’
