On Saturday June 21st the courtyard of The Old American Can
Factory will come alive to the drums of the African Diaspora at
Afrokinetic’s 3rd annual Carmina Soul outdoor summer series. Daz-I-
Kue of the UK’s Bugz in the Attic collective, alongside resident DJ
Chris Annibell and percussionist Amon, will infuse Brooklyn’s dance
community with West London Broken Beats, Latin Grooves, Atlanta
Soul, NY Deep House, 2Step Classics, Disco and African Polyrhythms;
a night geared towards honoring the cultural landscape of Gowanus,
Brooklyn and to transcend the confines of traditional clubs.
Carmina Soul: Part 1 summons music enthusiasts, dancers and
Brooklyn’s free spirits to sweat away the weeks grind, Saturday June
21st

The Old American Can Factory, an historic 130,000 sf, six-building
industrial complex at the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn, is an arts and

producing a myriad of ideas, experiences and products within the
design, arts and culture industry.
