What a year it’s been for ALMA! “All for the Love of Music and Art”
has proven to not just be a clever acronym but their true credence.
No pun intended towards DJ TRUE its founder alongside Joann
‘Muzikbutrfly‘ Jimenez and Miller Cruz, this crew has established a
grassroots NYC underground party attracting legendary musicians,
DJs and dancers alike. Add to its crew upcoming singer/songwriter
Manchildblack and you have the complete party package.

From the audience’s perspective, it’s ALMA’s authenticity and deep
passionate love that fuels the energy behind their parties. ALMA
would say it’s the audience and their energy. DJ True and
Miller Cruz marry the traditional sounds of samba, pagode, bossa
nova to house, drum n’ bass, Latin & Afro beats – what a beautiful
union. The combination has produced quite a serious monthly
party introducing the world to their own unique style they
themselves call “Neo-Brasilian Fusion”. They share the heart
and intense party nature of Brazilians with their patrons by bringing
back memories of old NYC, where the party spirit was once similar
to that of Brazil in many ways.

Together they are sure to have every nationality celebrating the
vibrant
culture of BRASIL. It’s an absolutely new dance experience complete
with live instrumental accompaniment and special surprise guests
worthy of the hype and suspense that surround “Special Guest”
appearances.

It is shared our love of music and art that make these parties so
