NYC’s hottest new Brazilian monthly teams up

with one of the longest running underground dance parties for DJ

True’s Birthday Celebration. ALMA will be welcoming DJs

Nickodemus and Mariano of Turntables on the Hudson to

their monthly mix of merry mayhem at Sullivan Room, March 11th,

    2005.

    Turntables on the

Hudson has been fusing live musicianship with their stellar

selections for audiences worldwide for over 10 years now and have always

carried a heavy Brazilian influence. From having carnaval parties with live

samba batucada bands, to playing cutting edge Brazilian electronica, Nick

and Mariano have had a Brazilian sound long before the bandwagon came

rolling through and they will be flexing every bit of their knowledge for

    this very special occasion.

Expect Nappy G to keep the percussion section poppin’ as he

always has and Miller Cruz to show off skills of his own when he’s

not behind the decks. The night should follow the tradition of the all out

revelry these 2 parties have become infamous for and raise the energy

level yet a notch higher with such an explosive combination. The grooves

will prove irresistible and sweating will not be an option. You might want

to bring a dry change of clothes for this steamy soirée hosted by Joann

    Jimenez (aka Muzikbutrfly) and Manchildblack.

    Friday, March 11th, 2005 (10pm – 4am)

    $5 Before 11pm & $10 after w/RSVP to muzikbutrfly@earthlink.net

    $15 General Admission

    Sullivan Room

    218 Sullivan Street (btwn 3rd & Bleecker)
