Dusted Roots Vol. 1 + 2 are the first EPs from San Francisco’s Andrew Phelan & Origami,
pressed years ago in extremely limited quantities. These releases have been
remastered for the official relaunch and digital distribution of the series on
Prismatic Tracks, receiving support across the board from the likes of iDJ,
Radio 1, Ministry of Sound Radio, Jay-J, Funk D’Void, Mazi, DJ Heather,
Colette, Laurent Garnier and Inland Knights to name but a few. Representing a
departure from the traditional style of Prismatic, Dusted Roots tracks draw
heavily on a classic, trackier, more sample based sound.

Since the release of the Dusted Roots series, Andrew Phelan & Origami have
quickly made a name for themselves in the international house community with
their mix of funk and tech based sounds built around a variety of live
instrumentation and vocals. The duo have releases out and upcoming on Amenti,
Body Rhythm, Bounce House, Chillin, Drop Music, Dusted Roots, Eight-Tracks,
Fizzin’, Lingo, Monsta, Olive, Onethirty, Prismatic, So Sound and Yerba Buena
Discos. Their work can be heard in collaborations with various musicians and
vocalists such as Sen-Sei, Brown, and Audio Angel, as well as with Cubik and
Shawn Allen, who are known together with Andrew Phelan & Origami as The
Fingermonsters.
