    Opening in February, AREA51 set out to create a cutting edge club

    with a quality musical backdrop.

    The venue has gained plaudits as the best club space in Manchester

    with its welcoming first room, large smoking terrace and the long

    dark tunnel main room which is just perfect for the underground

    music that is pumped through the state of the art Funktion 1 Sound

    System.

    Add to this ice cannons, projections, friendly door staff, an amazing

    atmosphere and you can see why it is still rammed at 9am every

    Sunday morning!

    Saturdays in December –

    13th December – Iain Taylor, Daley Padley, Locky + more

    Ex Tribal Sessions front man, Iain Taylor, returns to AREA51 for

    another musical journey. Last time he played he rocked the main

    room with his unique blend of house and techno.

    20th December – INLAND KNIGHTS, Curious George, Phil Rose +

    more

    Laurence and Andy met in 1993 through their involvement Dj’ing with

    the legendary UK free party crew – Smokescreen sound system.

    In 1998 the Inland knights Volume 1 marked the launch of Drop

    Music; an independent outlet devoted to the production of quality

    house. In 2007,to mark the 50th Dropmusic release, Inland Knights

    released a two part ep package to widespread acclaim, with 50 pt 1

    becoming an instant rarity and much sought after, and part 2

    Becoming another a drop classic.

    27th December – KRYSKO, Viktor Valasko, Locky + more @ AREA51

    Of Ukraine descent but born & breed in Yorkshire, England. Krysko

    was brought up on a musical diet of funk, soul, jazz and of course

    house music. In 2001 Krysko became resident at The Redlight,

    Sankeys soap and over the last 4 years he’s played alongside most

    of his musical heroes.

    Since leaving Sankeys Soap in 2006 Krysko became resident at the

    hugely successful Warehouse Project http://www.thewarehouseproject.com

    and played alongside artists as diverse as Underground Resistance,

    Laurent Garnier, Jamie Lidell, Spanky Wilson & The Quantic Soul

    Orchestra and Hot Chip. This is to continue into 2008 with the WHP07,

    this will also include another LIVE RADIO 1 ESSENTIAL MIX on 29th

    September.

    5th December – BODYROX, Peter Zorba, Dillan LR, Si Palmer + more

    Recently tagged a ‘Supergroup’ by Pete Tong during their debut on

    Radio One’s Essential Mix, Bodyrox are currently one of the top three

    most viewed ‘electro bands’ in the World with over one and a half

    million views on Myspace alone… Come and see what all the hype is

    about!

    12th December – CICADA (DJ set), Tom Platt, Metro Electro DJs +

    more

    In 2006, Cicada picked up rave plaudits for their debut album,

    ‘Cicada’, everywhere from Mixmag to Music Week, DJ magazine to

    Record Collector and beyond, gave them glowing praise, highlighting

    the gap in the scene for an electro pop band with the song-writing to

    match their hooks.

    19th December – Mad Friday @ AREA51 with the AUDIOWHORES!!!

    As an established DJ with several years behind the decks, Adam

    Unsworth had always wanted to move into production. Graham Lord

    at this stage was already producing his own music. They crossed

    paths at legendary club Out In The Sticks during 2000 and almost

    immediately Manchester gave birth to the Audiowhores.
