Hello everyone,,
Look, I don’t know how often this happens, but there is a pinterest user currently stealing art from this sub and using it to drive traffic to his “store,” which features art stolen from free stock photo websites. I was thankfully alerted to this by another kindly reddit user. I started to message people whose art I saw from this sub, but realized that almost all of the art he’s posted comes from here.Posting to this sub was a big deal for me, and I was overjoyed and so encouraged by the warm response that I received. I post my art here and on instagram to share it with the world and receive a little bit of encouragement, as my mental health makes being productive at all really difficult. The idea that some asshole would shamelessly steal work that I have practiced for YEARS to be able to make just boils my blood.
I wanted to alert the people who post here, and hopefully together we can report enough that this guy gets banned. I don’t make any money off of my art at the moment, and I am struggling to pay my bills this month as it is. So to see someone else trying to make money off of something I posted just to share makes me LIVID. If y’all would just take a quick peek through these pages and report/file a DMCA for anything that belongs to you, I would greatly appreciate it. I don’t have words for how upset I am over this.
If anybody of a more legal persuasion has advice or guidance on this situation, I would be more than grateful for it, and I apologize if this post is against the rules or annoys anybody.
