Azuli seek out the Top Clubs in the World revealed exclusively in the ‘Global Guide 09’, released alongside the future sounds of 2009.
The UK’s longest running house label, Azuli Records have an outstanding global reputation for putting on some of the best events on the clubbing calendar and seeking out the most upfront of dance music, showcased across a series of fantastic compilations from their annual Miami to Space to Club Azuli compilations. These finely selected tunes have become a staple in the audio diet of millions of clubbers worldwide, so who better than to come up with a series showcasing not only the future sounds of 2009 but also a Guide to the Top Clubs in the World, a rundown of the top 3 in each major territory to accompany these sounds – Azuli Records present The Global Guide 09.
The Global Guide 09 will be available as a mixed CD featuring 25 tracks, over 2 sumptuous mixes, hand picked by the legendary David Piccioni, Azuli’s founder and tastemaker extraordinaire. The CD is also available in a DJ-friendly unmixed format delivering over 20 brand spanking new wav quality upfront dance tracks into the hands of DJ’s across the world.
CD 1 features tracks from the unstoppable Deadmau5 ‘Ghosts N Stuff’ and Sébastien Léger ‘Hello Piano’s’ where springs motive and synthesized piano chords are enough to send shivers down anyone’s spine. James Talk takes us back to the sandy shores of Ibiza with ‘Sunshine’ and Nick Fiorucci feat. Carl Henry injects an electro edge with ‘Just Like That’.Mark Knight & Funkagenda vs. Paul Thomas Arena which, following the pairs smash hit remake of Laurent Garnier’s seminal ‘Man With The Red Face’, leaves you wondering why this talented twosome are not joined at the musical hip. Sebastian Ingrosso & Laidback Luke continues this vibe with a deep, resonating, tribal tech house workout with ‘Chaa Chaa’.
To accompany the compilation and club guide booklet, February and March 2009 will see Azuli take their Global Clubbing Guide on the road to some of the best clubs featured in their Top 50.
