With 2 hugely successful events already behind them it seemed

foolish to not organize Europe’s biggest clubbing event of the year at

Canvas before it closes it’s doors once and for all. With that in mind

BBE Records, The Doctor’s Orders & Bacardi B-Live have teamed up

again for BBE 11. Marking 11 years of the UK’s premier independent

label with their biggest line up to date representing the finest

international House, Hip-Hop, Soul & Disco DJs across 4 rooms a

capacity crowd is guaranteed at this not to be missed event.

BACARDI B-Live are once again on board and showing their full

support to the BBE and Doctor’s Orders crew. B-Live is synonymous

with outstanding parties, blending an exceptional mix of renowned

international DJs with some unique Bacardi Rum cocktails. With a

strong B-Live presence throughout this years event, BBE 11 see’s an

impressive line up of past and present B-Live DJs. As ever the line

up represents BBE’s philosophy of releasing real music for real

people. This time we have pulled out the big guns all of whom have

worked with BBE over the years and played a part in establishing it

as the MOBO award winning powerhouse of dance music that it is

    today.

BBE and The Doctor’s Orders know how to throw a party and what it

takes to make London’s discerning crowd to have a good time. They

definitely have all the right ingredients here and are guaranteed a

    packed floor in every room.

A genuine love of music and the desire to share that love to anyone

wise enough to hear that message is what has brought all the DJs,

Producers and BBE Records together and sees them join forces

    tonight for the public’s pleasure.

Once again “The Kings of Hip-Hop” take up room one, with two of

America’s most respected and in demand producers manning the

decks alongside two of London’s favorite sons. We welcome the

master of the Boom Bap, DJ Premier for this rare London appearance

and his BBE & B-Live debut. Having made his name creating

phenomenal beats for Guru to rhyme over that made Gangstarr the

benchmark for any & every Hip-Hop duo he has gone on to work with

anyone and everyone in Hip-Hop & R&B from Biggie Smalls to

Eminem & Mary J Blige to Christine Aguilara. Also flying in from NYC

we have the man behind the legendary Cold Chillin label Marley Marl.

Having previously worked with the likes of LL Cool J and KRS One, to

bring some street flavour to the decks, he packs clubs in his native

America his appearances on these shores are super rare so be sure

not to miss it! Representing the UK are Spin Doctor & Mr Thing, both

truly gifted party rockers they will be showing that London can

    definitely punch its weight.

Few lay claim to the title “The Kings of House” more than B-Live

regular Louie Vega. As one half of the legendary New York duo

Masters At Work he has been producing dance music of the highest

quality for over 20 years. This quality of output has seen him receive

Grammy Awards & perform at the Superbowl in 2006. Always an

impeccable DJ he will be working his magic over 4 turntables as he

provides another night to remember. He is joined by another favorite

of the Deep House scene, Osunlade. Coming out of self-enforced

retirement from Djing especially to play this event this may well

prove to be the last time you may here this man who lives his music

spin his music. BBE head honcho Pete Adarkwah will be on hand here

to keep the crowd stomping with his own distinct selection of tracks

    new and old.

“The Kings of Soul” are represented from two UK legends and two of

the most renowned crate diggers from the US. While perhaps best

known for his Jazz Dance selections Gilles Peterson is equally

passionate and at ease playing Soul as he will show here. Jetting in

from Brooklyn are vinyl experts Kon & Amir set to make their debut

under the B-Live banner and no doubt dig some serious beats.

Their “Kings Of Digging” compilation showed an unparalleled ability to

unearth little known & seldom heard dance floor gold from

throughout the US and beyond. If that was not enough, B-Live

regular Phil Asher will be representing the UK crowd with his smooth

    selections of 70’s & 80’s Soul & Boogie.

An addition to the line up this time around is the “Kings Of Disco” as

represented by the two men responsible for the fantastic compilation

of the same name. Dimitri from Paris & Joey Negro have been

spinning & remixing classic Disco for longer then they would care to

mention and combined undoubtedly have the world’s most extensive

knowledge and collection of the genre. Despite their similarities in

taste, experience and influence it is rare to have them man the same

set of decks so expect a fair amount of one up manship tonight as

these two heavyweights go head to head & back to back.
