Blacklodge ft. Guests Of Nature
‘Lay It On The Line’
including Fred Everything remixes
Lazy Days Recordings – LZD017
Digital out now, vinyl coming soon!
Something a little different for Lazy Days. Following earlier
label Disco Boogie releases such as Tortured Soul “You
Found A Way” (LZD-003) and Lovebirds “N2Deep” (LZD-
015), Fred Everything’s imprint is proud to introduce you to
Blacklodge, featuring Guests Of Nature, with the amazing
“Lay It On The Line”.
DJ Feedback:

original and Broken Promises. Both killers! Big support.

Jay Tripwire: all the tracks have a time and a place
in my sets,b ut the ever so important mid tempo jams are
very important to me as early sets really call for these
kinds of tracks.freds versions are good and will be perfect
for Fortune.
Franck Roger: FRESHHHH
Nacho Marco: Wow !!! What a lovely ep, all tracks
are great. Full support.
Blacklodge is up and coming producer Rob Fahey’s nom de
plume. Hailing from Brighton, he has enjoyed quite a
success and attracted interest with his re-edits on
Soundcloud. This is where Lazy Days found him through
good friend Aaron Dae, who was sure the San Francisco
label was the best home for this unique track.
Vocalist and lyricist Eugene McDonald, aka Guests of
Nature, has laid down (pun intended!) in Fred Everything’s
words “one of the nicest vocal tracks we have had the
pleasure of hearing in a while.” Also from Brighton,
Eugene has had many collaborations in the past, including
on the hip Jamie Jones remix of Deniz Kurtel which
appeared on Crosstown Rebels.
There was no doubt that label boss Fred Everything wanted
to get his hands on the remix, taking a similar approach to
his recent Juno-chart-topping disco remixes of Hot Toddy’s
“Down To Love” for Om’s sub-label Smoke & Mirrors. Fred
ups the tempo a little but instead of going the 4/4 route, he
uses a laid back, almost freestyle beat over a crisp
production. This is House-not-house at its best!
Also included is the bonus track from Blacklodge called
“Broken Promises” which shapes up as another late night
monster.needs little introduction. He is Loudeast Records’
capo, artist of Pacha, Freerange and OM Records, remixer
of Shakira, Fangoria, and Groove Armada, the impressive
list goes on. After a hectic season working on several
projects like the ‘Unclubbed-Space Disco Remixes’ for
Pacha and a collaboration with partner Raoul Lambert for
We Play House, Nacho found more time to hit the studio
and deliver this delightful disco track ready to be the
soundtrack of any club, terrace, party this summer.
