Jaxx n Lowe come home for their first release on Boogs Music – three slices of the silkiest funky house in the form of “Music always matters.” Jaxx steps up to the mic with a haunting yet powerful, sexy vocal literally oozing with her passion for music, to deliver three of the sweetest tracks on Boogs Music. The eastside mix kicks off with a hypnotic, erotic rhodes/guitar groove driven along by a deep rolling bass melody and powerful 4-4 beats. The westside mix aims for a more mainstream disco house vibe, a silky-smooth rhodes melody complimented by an equally smooth bassline, with a brass and strings arrangement cutting through to liven things up, the track topped off with twin saxes playing against each other to carry the groove. South Africa’s rising house star Shane D takes the track in a different direction, his bump n grind mix urging you onto the dancefloor, gyrating to his pulsing synth-driven house sound, the pseudo-electro bass groove carrying layered lead synths to give a retro, almost 80’s-style house cut.
