JJR remixDelving deep into the darkest recesses of house, “Stutter” takes hold and carries you away with a hypnotic, laid-back feel, drenched in ambience with layered rhodes, synths and a subtle bass growl carrying the groove until the keys drop, breaking the spell and driving the track on. Layered FX and subtle vocal stabs used to great effect add to the depth, harking back to the early days of dark, sweaty warehouses and classic rave anthems. Lucius Lowe drops another deep house reworking into the mix, building on the original mix with a progressive bass sound and acid style synth stabs. JJR brings the single to a close with his stunning remix, beginning with a minimal groove, layering FX and synths to build up into a euphoric pseudo-trance track worthy of any peaktime set. A top notch first release on the label for Converge and a worthy addition to Boogs’ roster.
