Artist InfoCentric Music continue their quest to release ‘Quality House Music – No Fillers’ with an sure-fire winner from Bruno Banner that blurs the lines between House and Electro. Bruno Banner currently resides in Amsterdam, following his relocation from his native France. He runs his own VillageDeep label and has a considerable pedigree as a producer. Banner has created music for labels such as Bits Music, Defected, Soulfuric and of course his own VillageDeep imprint. With DJ Fudge, he formed two distinguished production outfits in the world of house music, they were Savannah and Trouble Men. Under these names, the duo have released tracks and remixes on labels such as Kif, Full House, Chez Music, Epic and Serial. As a DJ, Banner has held down residences at The Mansion, Club NL and Supperclub.
Remixer InfoRemixes come from Wipe The Needle and Vibe Fellaz. Wipe The Needle is a London based duo consisting of Lee Gomez and Mikael Nybom. Gomez hails from the English capital city, whilst Nybom is from Sweden, and together they create powerful house music, working with a variety of musicians and vocalists. In the past, their cuts have been released by imprints like Deeply Rooted House, Defected and Slip’n’Slide, whilst 2009 will see them record a long player for Soundmen on Wax. Vibe Fellaz are Amsterdam based Didier Hartong and Roel Hoorneman. They started making music together in 2006 and release tracks via Made2Dance publishing.
The MixesMain Mix: On the main mix, a raw melodic synth line does the damage by creating a frenzied groove. Simple percussive work and eerie bass drops provide the back up.
Dub: The Dub sees more insistent percussion and darker bass flexing make their mark. The meaty synth line is still there, but it is slightly calmer.
Wipe The Needle Remix: The Wipe The Needle guys have fattened up the percussion and brought in some incredibly uplifting key layers. A watery bass underpins the groove and cool synths dance with the keys.
Wipe the Needle MixVibe Fellaz Remix: A heavy writhing bassline is the key to the remix from Vibe Fellaz. Clumsy beats, stuttering synths and sinister keys also feature.
