The Garage @ The Old American Can Factory
On Saturday, May 30 Carmina Soul returns to the Old American Can
Factory, for part 2 of this 7 part Spring and Summer series; of indoor
warehouse-style and outdoor courtyard events. Last months launch
in the Garage with guest DJ Simbad was off the charts and this month
we will take you even higher!!!
Residents Chris Annibell and percussionist Amon welcome Brooklyn’s
favorite son, DJ SPINNA to the stage. Together, they will infuse
Brooklyn’s dance community with West London Broken Beats, Latin
Grooves, Global House, Philly Soul, Jazz and African Polyrhythms; a
night geared towards honoring the cultural landscape of Gowanus,
Brooklyn and to transcend the confines of traditional clubs.
This Spring, Carmina is reborn, residing in a truly unique space; The
Garage @ The Old American Can Factory. Like April’s event, in May
we will be converting this interior space into a musical wonderland,
as we gear-up for our outdoor, courtyard launch, celebrating the
Summer Solstice in June.
