Colin Sales debuts on Open Bar music with a funky 4-track EP. Named after his successful radio brand, the Kinda Groovy EP features four tracks each with their own funky style.

Beginning with Carnival De Groove, a fast-paced drum based track designed for the big beat atmosphere of a carnival party. The Grand Midland Groove is a funky sax affair, paying homage to Colin’s favourite club, The Arches in Glasgow. We move onto a more soulful, laid back track in How Its Gonna Be, before continuing the funky theme with the imaginatively titled Ride This Dub.

With something funky for everyone in this EP you’re sure to find it useful.

TIMMY VEGAS: This package is top drawer Summer party muisc. Whether on the terrace in the morning or peaktime with CARNIVAL DE GROOVE, if you like your house music spiked with hot latin jazz then there is something for everyone here. The musicianship is outstanding from saxes to percussion and is guranteed to reach everyones soul! Check out the infectious latin fever on RIDE THIS DUB. I give this 9/10 and all mixes will be geting my full support !
DEAN SERAFINI – JJAZZPROJECT.COM REVIEW: “Fellow Scotsman Colin Sales puts on his funky hat for this release, forthcoming on Open Bar. The EP takes its title from his regular radio show and features four tracks set to tickle your taste buds. “Carnival De Groove” takes some pacey latino style beats and adds bass, brass and a few whistles for good measure to create a lively vibe that’s sure to get you moving. “Grand Midland Groove” is noticeable for a cracking bassline and healthy dose of sax. “How’s It Gonna Be” drops nicely into laid back mode with melodic keys and rhodes together gentle guitars, sax and spoken vocals. “Ride This Dub” ups the tempo to round things off with another funky rhodes infused number a helping of trumpet thrown in for good measure. I reckon this is set to do some damage.”

    Enjoy!
    C.
