Three dance music heavyweights come together on
October 24th, as Glasgow’s Arches hosts a trance and high
energy house session presented by Cream and Filth, where
the aim is to bring some Ibizan Balearic spirit back to party
proceedings.
For 17 years Cream have introduced people around the
world to a clubbing experience like no other, with the
biggest names rocking the biggest parties month in, month
out. Tonight they host room two, where Leeds’ forward
thinking Filth host room one. They are a fresh team with an
excited following for whom dancing and partying always
come first.
Cream bring Jon O’Bir whose trance productions for
Enhanced Progressive and Vandit include genre maestros
like Paul van Dyk as fans, and whose slots alongside Sasha
and Tiesto at places like Godskitchen have raised roofs.
Adam Sheridan also spins… From the UK to the Balearics,
San Francisco to the Far East, he’s adored. He’s had
Amnesia in the palm of his hand, ruled The Electric
Playground and reigned at the WMC… get ready. Gareth
Wyn, Jace Williams and Khalid Clarkson will also send
hands towards lasers in the main room.
Headlining the Filth room is a Dutch producer forging his
very own sound – Bart B More. Smashing up floors all over
the world, his grinding, twisting, turning house, electro and
basslines mash-ups are an attack on the senses. Releasing
on labels like Toolroom and Paradise, the man knows how
to make a tune as well as he knows how to work a floor.
You’ve got to see him to believe it. Filth also offer up Micky
Slim in room two – a production wizard and deck master
with his own label and gigs like those at Godskitchen,
Judgement Sundays Ibiza & Mix Club in Paris behind him.
House, electro, dirty ghetto underground… he spins it all.
Residents Danny Savage and Eddi Zanetti mix up tech
house, twisted shards of electro and jacking house wedges
to back up the headliners.
Room three will also be a very special party in its own right
as On Records launch themselves in to the imprint world
and hold a Secret Birthday Party: Andrew Carvell (a tech
house remixer and producer of the likes of Timo Garcia, FC
Kahuna and more, from Shifter and Carvelli/Broke) Sax
Offender (a noisy lo-fi freak whose abrasive, sax filled,
effected electronic music tickles ears at parties like Pukka
Up), and finally a very special guest will all get in on the
action.
The Arches is Scotland’s most well known and beloved
underground club for good reason. The bunker type
innards, the raw feel and the underground vibe all add up
to an intense experience. Tonight it will float on an ethereal
cloud of uplifting music, will be propelled by killer beats and
will surf along on the crowd’s collective energy, as will you
if you submerse yourself amongst it.
