In 2008, Holmtik’s ‘That Piano Track’ on 852 Recordings was one of

the biggest tunes on this site. Now, after many months of planning,

we bring you another XCLUSIVE. The much anticipated debut release

from 852 man Jonathan ‘The Fox’ Waller’s brand new Manchester

Underground Music label has arrived! Entitled ‘The Awakening EP’ –

this solid four track introduction to the sound of MUM is an

uncompromising sonic display of pure underground carnage.

Curious George & The Agent ‘Taxman’ – This DJ/Production team

have recently had support for their productions from Roger Sanchez

on his Release Yourself radio show and a 10/10 from the mighty Carl

Cox. Working closely with Manchester’s AREA51 Club and recently in

the studio on projects with Rudi Stakker, plus a host of releases

under their belts already on top Manchester labels such as Moov and

Mad Hatter, this is another name set to be making waves in 2009.

have had massive success in 2008 with ‘That Piano Track’ which has

which has given them the opportunity to collaborate in the studio with

A monthly DJ residency on the 3rd Saturday of every month (for

Disco Electronica) at Manchesters world famous Sankeys. Mark

alongside Mike of OD Muzique (Disco Electronica @ Sankeys) has also

Rod Fry ‘Sino’ – Treading the line between underground house music

and Detroit techno, Rod Fry is a producer and DJ whose influences

are as varied as his output. He runs his own techno night in

Manchester called Motor, where he is also a resident DJ. Linked to the

night is his 6-deck and 2-mixer DJ project called Motorfunction, with

fellow Motor resident Tom Long. Also, he does a weekly internet

radio show called Motortechno. On the house side of things, Rod also

produces under the name of Dr. Ordinaire, having had tracks

released on Lewis Keykay’s label, Moov.
