    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BACK TO BASICS IN THE BIG APPLE
New NYC Weekly Party Attracts Big Names To Cielo’s Small Room
The City’s Most Revered Dance Music Promoters Join Forces

Behrouz, Benny Benassi, Boris, Danny Howells, Danny Tenaglia, David Guetta, David Waxman, DJ Vibe, Frankie Knuckles, Hex Hector, Louie Vega, Nick Warren, Oscar G, Ralph Falcon, Richie Santana, Sander Kleinenberg, Seb Fontaine, Steve Angello,, Superchumbo, Tommie Sunshine, Victor Calderone…

New York, N.Y. – What do these diverse DJs all have in common? They’ve all played their best sets of the year at DANCE.HERE.NOW., a new Thursday night party that’s putting the New York back in New York nightlife.

Longtime friends and first-time partners Rob Fernandez and Benny Soto are the promotional forces behind the party, held at intimate Meatpacking District dance club Cielo. They’re a bit of an odd couple: Fernandez runs bookings at Pacha, the monster-sized Hell’s Kitchen superclub that’s currently the hottest big room in the country. Soto promotes the monthly 718 Sessions party with DJ Danny Krivit, known locally as the heir apparent to dearly departed deep house party Body & Soul.

But their diversity is exactly what makes DANCE.HERE.NOW. so special. Like Fernandez’s Subliminal Sessions weekly with DJ Erick Morillo at Centro-Fly; or Danny Tenaglia’s long-running Be Yourself party at Vinyl, on which Fernandez and Soto both worked, DANCE.HERE.NOW. is about dancing, across genre boundaries and social groups. It therefore draws a unique blend of real music fans. This freedom, coupled with the intimacy of Cielo’s dancefloor-dominated main room, coaxes unforgettable performances out of DJs, who frequently opt to play their New York tour dates here, instead of larger clubs.

See Danny Tenaglia make the room explode with a new edit of Patti Labelle’s Paradise Garage classic “Spirit’s In It,” delighting both the old househeads, and the young ones hearing it for the first time. Or Superchumbo experimenting with a set of blazing minimal techno, instead of the tribal for which he’s best known. Or aggressive after-hours DJ Peter Bailey opening for deep house legend Louie Vega (Masters At Work), and playing Vega favorite “To Be In Love” in tribute.

“[Cielo] was my favorite gig of the year,” says French sensation David Guetta, who is returning to play again on Thanksgiving Night, November 22. “It was very intimate with a very educated crowd. I played tracks from the ‘70s, from the ‘80s, and some totally new stuff, and they liked everything.”

DANCE.HERE.NOW. is marking its year-and-a-half anniversary month with a truly stacked lineup: Swedish House Mafia capo Steve Angello, the man behind the biggest remixes of the last two years (November 8); longtime New York favorite Behrouz, just back from a stellar Ibiza season (November 15); and David Guetta, tipped as the next superstar DJ (November 22).

Members of the press are invited to join the family at Cielo for any of these nights. Please contact TK for guestlist. DANCE.HERE.NOW. prides itself on having a no-drama door.

Interviews with Rob Fernandez, Benny Soto and any of the guest DJs are available.

    November 15 – Behrouz
    November 22 – David Guetta
