The team at junkbeats.com are very proud to present the
second release from our sub-label dB recordings, and due to the limited 100
copies pressed to vinyl selling out before we had a chance to catch our breath,
we are moving ahead with the digital version of ‘the matter’.

“Fo_sek” is the appraised collaboration between Dave Basek
living in Bryon Bay, Australia and ultra minimal aficionado Ed function who is
currently residing in Switzerland.
Together they have found that being at opposite ends of the earth hasn’t
hindered them from collaborating on compositions together. Inspired on a flight
to one of their last performances together in Australia,
“the matter” draws inspiration from the vision of dusk at 20,000ft.

‘The matter’ melds a
spacious blend of deep, acidic sub sounds and rhythms over a tough kick and sub
bass have proven to be a staple diet for these two producers. While Basek’s
‘what is’ remix translates the same picture into a sublime groove that welcomes
midnight dance floor.

The duo’s successful past release “Heedron” did
exceptionally well for Kriece’s “Kindred Sounds” It was featured in the
Beatport top 10 (tech house) and was championed by Jeff Bennett,
Phil Smart, and Kriece himself, proving a
winner among the discerning listeners around the globe.
