DEEP Y’ALL a.k.a DJ RICO “Gotta Keep Deeper Sound Factory Project 1
Part. 1
Listen:
Funk Master in the House (Deep main mix) – 6:32
Funk Master in the House (Deep Sax mix) – 6:32
Funky Days (Pump deep vibes mix) – 6:24
Funky Days (BSC Botina remix) – 6:13Dj Rico’s so particular touch is everywhere in this DeepY’All project.
Our French brother lives only for music, and when he is not touring the world as a DJ or preparing some compilations for Slip’n’Slide, he locks himself in the studio to improve the deepness of his sound. For this Gotta Keep Faith Records special project split in 2 parts (this is part 1/2), the artist must have spent a lot of time in his hideout: no less than four new titles completed by some remixes from his best friends, for a total of eight amazing tracks. In this part 1 we found 2 projects:
“Funk Master in the House” couldn’t be deeper; both mixes are really groovy, funky, and hypnotic. The “Pump Deep Vibes Mix” of “Funky Days” is gonna make your crowd sweat on the dancefloor, while the “BSC Botina Mix” made by the Brazilian Soul Crew, sounds so classic-house that it will take the clubbers back in the good old days.Part. 2
Listen:
House Muzik Will Never Die (DY main mix) – 6:28
House Muzik Will Never Die (Fuzz underground soulful remix) – 7:01
Dance Horizon (DY main mix) – 6:28
Dance Horizon (Pashaa Summertime Funky mix) – 6:30“House Muzik Will Never Die” is another proof that our friend Rico believes in what he does. The maestro’s main version is deep and sophisticated as always, while his friend Mr. Fuzz prepared a nice “Underground Soulful Mix”, perfect for the spring-summer season that is arriving real soon. To conclude this journey into deep-house music, “Dance Horizon”, the last track of this package, got remixed by one of the most talented DJ and producer in Miami: Pashaa, also known as DJ Nemo, got inspired by Ocean Drive’s sunrise to perform this nice “Funky Summertime Mix” which will certainly warm the WMC pools & beach parties up during the WMC. Let’s go check it…
Feedbacks :
-Dj RORK- “Good releases ! Vive la France !! I Like: Dance Horizon (Pashaa Summertime Funky mix), House Muzik Will Never Die (Fuzz underground soulful remix), Funk Master in the House (Deep main mix). I will play in my next radio show.â€
– BORN TO FUNK- “Loving all the mixes!! More DJ Rico!!! Gotta Keep It Funky Yeah!! 9/10â€
– DJ PELAU – “I definitely kept 2 versions – really cool, and yes, definitely jazzy!â€
-RICHARD EARNSHAW- “My favourite track here is the Pashaa remix of Dance Horizon.â€
– DJ KIK – “I check theses and play some in my radio show on Groove Session. Thanks for all your jobâ€
-CHARL CHAKA INFUSION – “Man both the lp’s are dope. Getting major airplay on radio and playing out in my gigs over here. Nice one keep up the good work.â€
-DEAN SERAFINI (JJaz Project Magazine)- “As with the first instalment there are two tracks with two versions of each included. It gets going with “House Muzik Will Never Dieâ€. Both mixes have a deep vibe that pays homage to years gone by without sounding dated. The “DY Main Mix†is very much aimed at the packed dance-floor while the “Fuzz Underground Soulful Mix†focuses more on the melodies than the rhythms but nevertheless has the necessary funk to get you moving. The focal point of both mixes is clearly the vocal which you’d be hard pushed to ignore – not that you’d want to. “Dance Horizon†again makes full use of spoken vocals, (both male and female). The “DY Main Mix†has powerful beats and a throbbing bassline combined with moody synths; the resulting vibe taking you deep underground. My personal pick is the “Pashaa Summertime Funky Mix†which offers a breezier alternative infused with rhodes, live bass and funky guitars. Nice!!â€
-MICHAEL FOSSATI (SpiritOfHouse.com)-“ Massive project by DJ Rico here that will be released over two separate singles, with each single featuring two tracks coming in two versions. “Funk master in the house” is deep and a hypnotic with a dirty funky edge featuring sexy vocals, with the second mix adding a saxophone to it. “Funky days” has got some sexy female spoken words and vocals sitting on top of a funktified groove, with the Brazilian Soul Crew reworking the track into a funk drenched deep house gem. “House muzik will never die” is another example of sophisticated deep house, yet again featuring some hot’n’sexy female vocals. Fuzz takes the track deeper, giving it more of an underground feel. Lastly there is “Dance horizon” which combines both male and female vocals over a funkily bubbling groove, and this track is probably the sexiest from the pack. The remix on this one is courtesy of Pashaa (aka DJ Nemo) who gives it a summery feeling.â€
-HENRI KOHN (Clubstar)-“ Ciao, House Muzik Will Never Die (DY main mix) and Funky Days (BSC Botina remix)….nice one.â€
-FRANCO MARTINELLI (Housepage.net)- “Behind Deep Y’all there’s top French deep house DJ/producer DJ Rico. “Deeper sound factory project” is a very strong EP with not less than four new titles completed by some remixes for a total of eight tracks. “Funk Master in the house” is a solid deep track with an infectious and funky flavour, enriched with some great sax parts in the remix version. The “Pump deep vibe mix” of “Funky days” is a minimal funky affair, while the “BSC botina remix” is a more classic re-work. “House muzik will never die” is a quality underground and deep track, that sees the light of sun in the brighter Fuzz remix. The double package closes with the brrilliant “Dance horizon”, an intense, sexy, deep track in its Original mix, that turns in an irresistible latin influenced funky groover after Miami’s dj/producer Pashaa re-touched it in his “Funky summertime mix”.
