    Ed_Function :: Nextcementmotion

    EPSS005 available now from beatport.com

    OK so its summer in Australia and high time that East Point Sounds get back to the music. Now in being true to our Junkbeats anti hype ways, we have no bollocks for you about plays from DJ super-trendy-and-famous etc. What we can tell you is we have all been playing these tunes since they came back from mastering and the Adam Jace remix is the pick for prime time with the original and dub being solid floor keepers for the outskirts of your sets. If you chart us please drop us back a line to let us know…

    The Original mix

    Another pearler from our ex pat Aussie resident in Basel, To be honest we have been sitting on the original of this since June 2008, Ed’s stuff has just started to catch on and now he is rapidly establishing his name as the producers producer. Clicky enough for the heads and groovy enough for the floor, all-in-all a great tune to get things started.

    The Adam Jace remix (Plastic City)

    Of course with Ed raising the bar it meant that we had to find some remix talent that would be able to do the track justice and give it another angle of attack. Luckily we hooked up with Sydneysider Adam Jace, low and behold he has absolutely KILLED IT! Mr Jace has turned out an absolute stonker of a tribal tech groove. Any DJ’s playing progressive or Tech house will have a track to shift direction, and any house DJ’s that want to pick up the floor and tear it up need it before everyone else has it.

    Mark Briais Touche dub

    Now to balance out the Adam Jace rmx we though Mark could turn out a peaced-out remix along the lines of his testing times groove, but NO, of course he had to surprise us all with a chunky dub that will hold the floor at 3am and keep them going at 6pm on Sunday too. Mark has really stepped up with his production and after this effort we will have him on dub duties again for sure…

    COMING SOON

    So sure, it has taken us a year to find these guys but East Point is very proud to announce that we will be following this EP with some absolute treasures, We are not going to blag you with bullshit promise of greatness and dance floor stormers what we do have are quality releases with thoughtful production that will set your DJ set apart from the rest.
