Eric Prydz – Bio :
Eric Prydz is on a roll at the moment, without doubt leading the way. His labels Mouseville, Pryda and Pryda Friends are positively brimming with underground club hits. Eric is now in charge of three highly respected labels whose releases are in feverish demand, consistently selling huge quantities of vinyl which is truly incredible in the markets current climate. The labels are arguably proving to be the most successful and forward thinking imprints currently existing. Each label was strictly developed to give Eric a platform to release his own productions without outside interference, simply his music on his terms. It was important for Eric to step back after his previous successes and release music without schedules and pressure. Ultimately he wanted to control his own image and destiny, something extremely important to him and his career. The ethos behind the labels was truly underground, scarcely any promotion, no press intrusion and true label design/identity… a formula which has proven massively successful.Releases on his more hard edge Mouseville records under the pseudonym Cirez D have been tough and powerful a throwback to the underground techno roots his native Sweden have become famous for. The huge demand for this label have become nothing short of amazing with his massive ‘Knockout EP’ selling over 18,000 copies on vinyl alone. The more melodic based Pryda imprint showcases his early house influences with harmonies, melodies and hooks fused with his trademark powerful basslines. Pryda and Mouseville are solely for Eric’s own productions. vehicles to develop his sound, a sound that has become so influential, constantly imitated and copied but yet to be bettered…
Dana Bergquist – Bio :
Recently the largest daily newspaper in Sweden, Dagens Nyheter, invented the phrase “Dana House”. The ex-pression applies to the seamless blend of the different styles Dana plays. During his dj-sets musical elementrange from Rimini flavoured italo, funk and glimmering 80s to jerky electro, polished techno and ultrafresh disco. Everything closely connected with house – the genre where his musical roots belongs to.Dana Bergquist is undoubtedly one of Swedens most diligent and reliable dj’s. Playing alongside people like Steve Lawler, Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, Roger Sanchez, DJ Hell and Tiga he can be seen every weekend dj’ing at one of Stockholms best clubs. The past three years Dana also has been holding a residency at the now defunked world famous and renowned Grodan Cocktail Club and this fall will see the launch of his own montly night, Oh!, at the stockholm venue Teatron. There he will fly in his own favourite dj’s from around the globe.
Furthermore, Dana has at repeatedly occasions been given the honourable task to represent Sweden when superclubs like Renaissance, Ministry of Sound and Cream visits Sweden. And finally, the production of hot tracks has really started to kick off. The music production is something that Dana has been doing more like a spare time thing. But now labels and people are starting to pick up his music. This spring his first release, McEnroe, was out on Desyn Masiellos fantastic label Symphonic Vibes and featured on John Digweeds latest mix, Transitions, for Renaissance. It’s been supported by John Digweed (of course), Francois K, Laurent Garnier, Dave Seaman, Sharam & Ali (Deepdish), Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Desyn Masiello, Danny Howells, Luke Fair, Demi (Deeper Substance) and many many more.
With several original tracks waiting in the pipeline and a bunch of own upcoming remixes Dana Bergquist is definitely a name heading for the international scene. Make sure to experience the soul of Dana House before everyone else does it.
