I heard this song on XM Radio which had the lyrics “everybody needs somebody” repeated over and over. It has a fairly dirty house sound to the whole song. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

Were one of these the cut you were looking for? I was in the process of posting a request for a song by the same title, I believe. I remember it from around 1984-5 played frequently in Chicago. The lyrics sounded something like this after a snare drumroll:
