COMING UP IN APRIL @ FACE

One of the top nights in the country in Mixmag’s end of

year charts, Face is set for another storming month in April

with three more on-point headliners in the form of Tom

Demac, Lee Foss, Ramon Tapia and Luca Lozano of Zombie

Disco Squad.

They join the ever reliable residents as well as –

occasionally throughout the year – new international

resident, Spanish talent Edu Imbernon.

Playing out in The Courtyard, Face offers the sort of erudite

electronic soundtrack in raw surroundings not offered

anywhere else in the region and, for that reason, deserves

close attention.

9th – Lee Foss

First up is Lee. The Hot Creations boss – alongside pal

Jamie Jones with whom he also records as Hot Natured –

has reinvented a certain strain of disco fuelled, vocal, sexy

and slo-mo house music for labels like LA Culprit as well as

his own and is a party starting DJ like few others today.

He plays all over the world from fabric to WMC as well as

cool underground parties like Lo*Key in London and the

last time he played for Face it was one of the best parties

of the year… don’t miss out this time round then.

16th – Ramon Tapia

Next up it’s Ramon Tapia on April 16th. The Belgian DJ and

producer Ramon Tapia has released more than 20 records

since his debut in 2004, with a full length album coming on

Great Stuff Recordings soon. The man has also released on

Turbo and Craft Music whilst he plays at places like Fabrik,

Spain, at the Amsterdam Dance Event in Holland and many

other places in between.

30th – Luca Lozano (Zombie Disco Squad)

Finally, Luca Lozano of Zombie Disco Squad rolls into Brum

on the 30th and brings with him all manner of house

tastiness. With ZDS Luca mines a rich vein of hip hop

influenced house which has caused Jesse Rose to declare

the pair, “Some of the most exciting producers out there.”
