BOOM! And Filth is 3 already. That’s 36 months of partying

as hard as anyone could, to the best soundtracks possible

from the freshest artists around, and that calls for a

celebration of mammoth proportions. To celebrate all this,

a huge festival sized line-up of the sort never seen at a

Leeds club is being brought to the city.

Dance music heroes Faithless bring their Live Soundsystem

to play their biggest hits, more classic tracks and hot

material from their forthcoming 2010 LP ‘Calling all the

Faithful’ and the O2 Academy in Leeds is going to be

transformed into an all singing all dancing, colour splashed

rave paradise! Faithless are known the world over for their

anthemic, stadium filling dance sounds, brooding vocals

and epic breakdowns, so to catch them do all that live is a

    rare treat.

As if that wasn’t enough on its own, tonight is the long

awaited Leeds debut of John Dahlback. He’s a Swede tech

house master, boss of top label Pickadoll . Then there’s

Toolroom Records’ Funkagenda whose productions for the

label have been everywhere this year after great success

with his ‘08 remix of techno classic ‘The Man with the Red

Face’ and more recently with the release of his first

Toolroom Knights album. He’s so hot in 2009 he won DJ

Mag’s Best Breakthrough Artists Award at this year’s Best

of British party – big room house never sounded better.

Style of Eye is another breakthrough star of 2009 (and

exclusive Filth resident for 2010) having turned in one of

the Essential Mixes of the year, and his LP also smashed up

the rule book tearing through big bass-lined house, punchy

electro and percussive techno with ease. He’s another

Swede and has released on Dirtybird, OM and Pickadoll in

the past. He’s essential listening in 09.

On a mashed up electro, house, tech and just about

anything else tip, Radio 1’s In New Music We Trust DJ Alex

Metric is your man: He stormed the scene this year

including a breathtaking set at Glade which impressed

everyone who saw it, and isn’t afraid to mix up the styles in

order to get a party going, and keep it going. His own

pumped up productions have come on respected labels like

    Lot49 and Four:Twenty.

As well as residents Danny Savage and Eddie Zanetti,

Foamo is also on this huge birthday line-up. He’ll bring to

the table everything from house to dubstep to techno, and

gigs all over the world alongside the likes of Erol Alkan and

Foamo is also a resident at the legendry Chew The Fat! in

London, and is resident at We Love Sundays at Space,

    Ibiza for summer 2009

Expect the O2 to be transformed with the usual attention to

detail any Filth party has: throughout the whole venue

there will be fire breathers, acrobats, stunt men

performing, blasts of ice cannons to get lost in, some mind

bending visuals and the usual red-hot Filth dancers!

Filth pack their usual home, Mint, each month such is the

appeal of their parties, the quality of their guests and the

joys of their crowd. They do the right thing, then, by

expanding for this event and giving it their all: the

excitable, pretention free girls and boys who’ve made Filth

so special will be out in force for this, so get amongst them

and see what the fuss is all about.

If you can’t wait until 26th Feb, celebrations start early on

Sat 13th Feb when Filth fly teenage prodigies the Martinez

Brothers for an exclusive 5 hour set!
