There’s no time to stand around patting themselves on the

back after last month’s big birthday bash but, instead,

Fingerprint aim to leave another indelible mark on the

Manchester scene on November 21th, with Mothership and

Trapez duo, Italoboyz.

Having released their multi-instrumental debut LP last

month, the London based, Italian duo (the clue’s in the

name) are on a roll. They were at the forefront of the

minimal explosion way back in 2002 mixing up the

influences of their native Italo scene with the rolling

rhythms of Berlin but, since then, the pair’s sound has

matured into a multilayered, multi-influenced blend of jazz,

house, techno and funk.

It was productions for the aforementioned – and widely

lauded – labels, and a long run of consistently head turning

sets on the London circuit, which earned the pair their

props initially, and they’ve been reaping the benefits ever

since. Gigs at clued-up night spots like Fabric, and industry

event the Miami Winter Music Conference are testament to

that, so who’s to argue?

Bill Jones and Iain Dixon provide resident support tonight,

so the underground crew assembled on the floor before

them are unlikely to stop shifting shapes from the first beat

to the last. Make sure you are amongst it.
