The GodFather of house is back with a full length album that’s top notch. Frankie Knuckles, Grammy winning DJ/Producer/Remixer, often imitated but never duplicated is back with A NEW REALITY, all original productions. BounceFM recently chatted with Mr. Knuckles to learn a bit about the album and a bit about the man. Here’s what he had to say.

TELL US ABOUT ‘KEEP ON MOVIN’ – WHERE DID YOU GET THE IDEA FOR THIS SONG?
The idea of this song came from a conversation I was having with an old friend. The chat was about my giving up the DJ thing. He wanted to know how long would I continue to do this? My answer was until I was no longer wanted. His reply was “Keep On Movin’, Don’t You Ever Stop”. That phrase stuck with me and, the melody began to brew in my subconscious. The rest is what you hear. The music says everything. The message in the lyrics is clear.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO ASPIRING PRODUCERS?
Listen to music. Listen to all music. You don’t have to like it all but, you definitely need to hear it all. Let it sink into your psyche. Let it fester in your subconscious. You’ll be surprised how much it influences you and inspires you to be totally original.
