    Fridays | June | Bar 54

    10pm – 6am

    54 Commercial Street London

    E1

    http://www.bar54.co.uk

    54 London

After four years of underground parties in our country’s capital, Bar

54 is now not only a hotbed of clubbing activity, but a double edged

record label with a concept as sharp as it’s club bookings.

Tech house forefathers like ‘Evil’ Eddie Richards, solid 4/4 acts like

Soy Mustafa and Italo-bent minimalists like Dandi & Ugo have all had

the 54 basement in the palm of their hands in the past few months ,

and their disparate sounds are to be reflected in 54s new record

releasing arm, 54 Music. The two sides of the label (‘Light’- nu jazz,

deep house, eclectic – and ‘Dark’ – techno, minimal, tech house) will

be showcased at 54 nights, inject a little freshness into the London

    circuit in the process.

On top of that, the beloved red basement is also set to host an even

more highly tuned selection of DJs each Friday night from June.

Kicking off the new order are Enzo Siragusa, Raudive, Inland Knights

    and Hector.

Having built a solid reputation and following years of credible

bookings, the time has come for 54 to push on. And so the time has

come for you to join in and allow them to nurse you through a whole

new realm of avant-garde electronic sounds.

    5 June… DIGITAL DISCO

    Enzo Siragusa [Fuse]

Digital Disco aims to strike a balance between the underground and

overground, with a wised-up tech house sound and a friendly

atmosphere; it’s a great way to start your weekend proper.

Headlining tonight is melody maker and driving groove pusher Enzo

Siragusa. For over ten years, Enzo has furrowed in the deepest

depths of 4/4, always keeping dance floors locked with subtle and

    dynamic sets.

    12 June… TEMPER TEMPER

    Reset Rebot (Si+Tec)

54 offers up some dark sonics this month as club night Temper

Temper take hold of the intimate basement and push on into more

    unchartered techno territory.

Reset Robot leads the assault still revelling in having one of his tunes

used by Dubfire on a recent DJ Mag cover mount CD. As well as

releasing on Dubfire’s Sci + Tec label, Reset Robot, aka Dave

Robertson, has also released on Global Underground and is a name

you’re set to hear a lot more of. You heard it here first.

Next on the list is Danny Raper, the London based promoter behind

Ketoloco – one of the most successful club brands to have emerged

in the last few years. His pure enthusiasm and untainted pursuit of a

good time has helped earn Ketoloco a place in clubbing history for

their off the wall Ibizan parties, their bespoke raves in the basement

of their Leeds student house and, most importantly, their wonky

minimal and afterhours house soundtrack. Expect italo infused and

    contemporary tech, all night long.

Gareth Wyld, Andy Burby and Ashley McKenna are the foot soldiers

    providing support.

    19 June… WE DANCE

    Inland Knights [Drop]

The house party vibe is programmed to dominate at We Dance, but

there’d be no party at all without some quality sonics. Offering them

up tonight will be Nottingham duo Inland Knights. 2020 Vision, NRK

and Om Records (some of the country’s best house labels) have

snapped up releases from these guys, and for good reason. Their

sharp 4/4 sounds are in demand all over the world, as are their

remix skills – don’t miss out.

    26 June…. TRACK ONE

    Hector [Phonica]

‘Deep as you like’ is the unofficial brief for a Track One night, so who

better to book than the London based boy from Phonica Records,

Hector? Working behind the counter at one of the Smoke’s sharpest

record stores has put Hector in the enviable position of having

unadulterated access to the hottest house and techno from all over

the planet. Known for his ability to hook in a room and never let

them go, his arsenal of tunes includes the best from Rhadoo, Dubfire,

Ambivalent and more, so expect to be taken on a melodic and kinetic

    journey.
