After many releases on GKF like DJ RICO and MR. FUZZ, the duo come together here for the first time. The fresh and explosive voice of SHARON EDWARDS a.k.a. SHA’RON contribute to make this track really big. Complete the project the remixes by SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS, GEORG NEUFELD and HOUSE DEVICE.
It all happened in 2001 with a musical encounter while remixing Mr Fuzz’s first album Electro Twist. GRANTORINO are MR. FUZZ & DJ RICO. The 2 Dj’s/musicians quickly got on very well and have been working on several projects since then: tracks, parties, remixes, online mix… Soul, funk , deep and garage are the main trends shaping this duet. They simply love house music. That’s all.
WHAT YOU WON’T DO is written by Bobby Caldwell.
Vocals by Sharon Edwards a.k.a. Sha’ron.
Arranged, recorded, edited and mixed by Grantorino a.k.a. Mr. Fuzz & Dj Rico.Feedbacks :

– MICHAEL FOSSATI (Spirit of House) – “First lets congratulate Gotta Keep Faith who celebrate their 50th release with this production by Grantorino (aka Mr. Fuzz and DJ Rico). “What you won’t do” features the soulful vocals of Sharon Edwards over a deep’ and laidback, jazz-funk flavored groove in the ‘Mr. Fuzz Main Mix’, while the ‘Mr. Fuzz Deepness Mix’ turns the track into a slightly electronic, deeply stompin’ affair. Spiritual Blessings go all funky and groovy on their take, while Georg Neufeld adds his trademark deep sound to the track. Steve Paradise contributes a beautiful deep house take with a funky twist that is all about beautiful melodies. Lastly there is the deep’n’funky ‘ Underground Brothers Dub’ that is a great tool for DJs.â€

– DEAN SERAFINI (JJaz Magazine) –“Gotta Keep Faith celebrate their 50th release with Grantorino’s cover of the Bobby Caldwell classic. Nearly thirty years on, this is a more than useful interpretation that comes with six diverse mixes, all of which have something to offer. I’ve been appreciating all the mixes with the “Mr Fuzz Main Mix†and “Mr Fuzz Deepness Mix†tickling the deeper spots while Spiritual Blessings energise the track funking it up for the floor. “Georgie’s Dub†has shades of early 90s MAW flavours while the “Underground Bros Dub Mix†takes a darker path. My pick of the mixes is the “House Device Mix†which reminds me in places of “Casa De X†with its lush deep house vibe.â€
– DJ FLOY – “Full support from me for the last Grantorino ep. Very nice release. Play on my radio show (Paradise Garage and Classic mix) ..Full support as always!â€
– DJ PELAU -“(George’s Dub Mix): Tones in that snare of a mid-1990’s house track, this one is ripe for an art gallery vibe where you want the energy right enough for folks to dance inside their mind, and not spill red wine over the gallery exhibits! Leaves enough room in there, with all the brakes and breakdowns and stripdowns to mingle, chat and act like you’re ‘socialite’ savvy. The song seems to completely change after a flight into space and here’s where the strength lies – that lovely atmosphere is painted.Mr. Fuzz Main Mix): As it says, ‘main’ mix – as in plain white bread without butter, or even being toasted – just a simple cover sang over a basic house groove, nothing special here. Probably something for an older crowd to taste its familiarity and comment ‘the dj was cool’ afterwards.(Mr. Fuzz Deepness Mix): Those keyboard streaks immediately douse the house rhythm with a syrup one cannot have without the rest of groove – the pancakes here got the best syrup that fluctuates in melody and the congas make you realize it’s a soulful track, not just tech’d out with keyboard tones which by itself could have been associated only with tech sensibilities. This shit is funky, and hip and I could go on…simplicity again wins here. (Underground Brothers Dub Mix): Underground is right! Yes, this is dirty, dusty and ready to be wiped off with some true b-boy and b-girl dancers who can dance so lively, makes your dancing look like you’re just standing around still. This even has a sort of experimental feel – brilliant vibe here man…(House Device Mix): A no-joke type of beat and rhythm, this from the get-go means dancefloor, and them chords pull at your soul, ready to set go! Slide, move and bounce, hop and duck under and waver from side to side, it’s a party y’all, a house party and this mix is perfect as the beat evaporates to bless vocals in its naked form, then it’s back to the boogie…C’mon, you gotta get down! Gotta Keep Funky! (Spiritual Blessing funky donkey Mix): I am not a fan of this bassline at all, but the overall vibe works a bit. Of all the mixes, I am a big fan of this only for the piano which reminds me of old skool NYC vibes and takes me back personally, but overall the track is mediocre.â€
