HAHAHA / Digger by Thomas Feijk vs Stuart C (Often Gruven recordings)

    Release Date : March 10th 2008
    Format : Digital
    Catalog Number : OGN011

1 – HAHAHA (Original mix by Thomas Feijk)
    2 – HAHAHA (Adiz remix)
3 – Digger (Original mix by Stuart C.)
4 – Digger (Mateo Murphy remix)

For OGN011, Often Gruven Recordings is proud to present its latest deep progressive house smashes in a combo package. Thomas Feijk and Stuart C, two of the first stars that joined the label in early 2006 are back, once again, on the frontline with HAHAHA and Digger. The release is a real jewel, the kind of sound Often Gruven digs since its early beginnings, a winning combination of top-quality rounded deep prog tracks.

With HAHAHA (Original mix), Feijk proposes a smooth and subtle melodic build-up over an intense, tight and percussive drum line. Once passed through the middle break throat, it blissfully embodies you into a peaktime-big-room killing atmosphere…you can feel the captivating and fully developed melody float all around, still supported by the sustained drum shots in the background.

In a slightly more minimal range, the fine remix produced by Adiz keeps you into the same floating ambiance driven by nice manipulations and fluctuations of the melodic facet of the track driven by a breathing bassline.

On Digger (Original mix), Stu is showing us his colors in a surprisingly mature progressive track. Highly dynamic, the groovy bassline makes keeps the track bouncing against the striking intensity of the soaked drums. Yet another pure dancefloor-filler track designed with genuine background-running breaks perfectly shaped for memorable DJ sets played in large crowded rooms!

Montreal’s Mateo Murphy has completely remolded the original mix by converting it into an exceptionally deep minimal version. The remix proposes a slow and constant progression, mainly supported by an overlap of discrete and clever melodies coming from electro synths perfectly organized supported by a heavy steady drum section and a particularly efficient hiatus that literally propels the track.
