Ok, im sure everyone knows what house music is, but i am looking for 2 different types of music, i will explain

Ok i went to this bar/club called COCKTAIL in boystown (the gay area) at halsted street in north of chicago, and the strippers that dance their, dance to this unusual type of dance/house music. It sounds very energetic, fast paced, discoish, jazzy type of house music. I decided to go to borderline music (which is a music store for gay guys i guess full of house and lounge type music) i asked them what it was, and even they didnt know what type of house music that was. I asked them if they could recommend any artists, and they didnt really know. So if anyone has been there, or if anyone knows what im talking about, can you tell me what to look for? I will go and talk to the DJ there in new years eve to ask him what type of music it is…but for now any recommendations would be great. The guy at borderline music did say its called “chicago house” but i searched chicago house in youtube, and it does not sound like the music they play their at all. Plus he was out of the chicago house style music at the store…

The second type of music comes from me going to this awesome restaurant called SUSHI SAMBA in the heart of downtown, they were playing live music, and holy shit it sounded fantastic! It was like traditional tropical brazilian beats mixed with modern modern stuff. Very fast paced, EXTREMELY energetic, very fun to listen to, makes you seriously want to dance. I think its called brazilian progressive, or maybe brazilian lounge. I searched those 2 genre, but the brazilian progressive sounds very alternative rock, and the brazilian lounge sounds elevator music like… if anyone has been there, can you tell me what type of music they play? Thanks

the closest thing that comes to mind with frankie knuckles is “the whistle song” remixed from 2006. If you listen to that tune, you will realize its not really house, not really trance, not really techno, its in between, but mostly dance and ambient music.
again, the type of music i am lookin for is mostly high energy, dance, very jazzy discoish .

As far as the music i heard from sushi samba, since it was live, it was kind of a band, but it sounded like traditional tropical brazilian/latin beats mixed with really high energy fast paced synthesizers, it ALSO sounded jazzy (like latin jazz)

Both styles of music were purely instrumental very little vocals, and if there were vocals it was just background vocals to go along with the beat. The house music was NOT hardcore house with really high bass, it was light, ambient, jazzy, yet it was fast paced, energetic.
The brazilian music did not sound like rock music, nor did it have high bass, but it was loud, very tropic sounding, and jazzy

im giving the best descriptions i can with the music i listened to, i guess the best way to know is to actually go to sushi samba and go to the club called coctail.

EDIT: ok i think i know something that sounds close that can give you guys an idea. If you have SNK VS CAPCOM *1* (not 2) and if you go to options, you hear this wierd background music. THATS WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE in terms of the house music that i am listening to at the club, except its faster paced (therefore making it more energetic)

here is a youtube of it:

Here is the link to a sample of the remixed 2006 version of the whistle song

ok i found another great example of the type of music that i heard. it sounded like streets of rage *2* music!!! streets of rage 2 music sounds very jazzy, discoish, zero vocals, purely instrumental, fast paced. Eventhough it sounds videogamish/electronic, i hope you guys get the basic idea.. does that help?
