    House Trained Launch

    The
    Music Box, Manchester

    Opening night: Saturday 7th November

    Celebrating the launch of

    ‘Hardcore Uproar 2009’

As Mr Scruff steps down from his monthly
residency at The Music Box in Manchester, up steps the mighty House Trained
Records who as from Saturday 7th November, will reside at the notorious warehouse
venue on the first Saturday of every month.

House Trained – famed for its ‘no shit on the floor’ strap
line, underground parties, and catalogue of no-nonsense house music – brings to
new audiences in the North West a finely tuned launch night and a celebration
    dripping in nostalgia.

The night will star a plethora of hot UK talent that
includes the Mixmag tipped Lee Mortimer; Sharooz whose productions have been
applauded and lauded by everyone from 2Many DJs to Moby; One Man & His Dog
    – aka House Trained label Manager Phil Loraine and DJ partner, and disco muse
Disco Stu Bear– all of which will be giving the club’s 20k funktion one sound
rig a run for its money.

But this is more than just great DJs, up for it people and
cutting edge music: there is something more prolific occurring on this night in
Manchester as House Trained celebrates the commercial release of its colossal
new mix package of one of the UK’s most championed dance anthems of all times –
    ‘Hardcore Uproar 2009.’

‘Hardcore Uproar’ was originally huge on the acid house
scene 20 years ago, where it became the soundtrack to nights at the Hacienda
and at the illegal Blackburn raves of where the track takes its name. The idea
for the track was born in the back room of the Hacienda by ‘Together’ aka
Jonathan Doughty and Suddi Raval, who went on to record real crowd sounds from
the Blackburn raves, which feature in the remake today. This is good news for
Manchester’s club scene and the DJs playing at House Trained who are
    responsible its revival.

House Trained has come a long way since its early parties
funded on a shoestring budget back in 2004, where it once booked Mylo to play
to a crowd of just 250 people! The House Trained label was later launched in
collaboration with Universal, where it saw releases from DJ Disciple, Denise
Lopez and Wolfgang Gartner, before it was re-claimed by head honcho Phil
    Loraine.

“As a fully fledged northerner myself, I have waited a long
time for this opportunity” said Phil, “this night represents a tip of the hat
to the old skool as we set our sights firmly on the future; using the memories
of the past as a benchmark for creating equally unforgettable parties for the
    next generation!”

So hold on to your hats Manchester; when House Trained
promise ‘no shit on the floor’, they mean it. Come down to celebrate and see
    for yourself…

This party is also dedicated to the memory of Together’s
band member, Jonathan Doughty and his girlfriend Emma who were tragically
killed in a motorcycle accident in Ibiza in 1990. Gone but not forgotten,
    R.I.P.
