    What’s your earliest ‘musical’ memory?
Driving around in the car with my mum listening to all the golden oldies. I remember the car stereo could never be loud enough.

What was it that drove you to get into the music industry?
It wasn’t intentional to be honest. I loved all kinds of music from a very young age, bought my first pair of decks at 11 years old and I guess it all spiralled from there.

Who have been the most influential people in your musical development?
I would have to say my partner in Crime Joe Thompson. We first started writing music together 10 years ago. He’s been a great supporter and inspiration to me over the years. Also on a artist level I would have to say Paul Van Dyk and Carl Cox. I first started listening to the FACT CDs by Carl all those years ago and Paul has been a great help and a massive inspiration to my music career.

Who inspires you outside of music?
I’d have to say my close friends and my family. They’re always there for me and not forgetting my girlfriend!

What are the biggest three challenges facing you at this moment in time?
First one would have to be promoting my new album, making sure as many people across the world get to hear it. Second would have to be looking after the new puppy. She can be such a little nightmare. And the third would definitely be all the remix work I have to get through.

What is the best event you’ve appeared at and why?
It has to be the last ever Love Parade in Berlin. Not sure what year that was. I think it was 04. A truly unbelievable experience. Playing in front of all those people at such a legendry event. So sad now that it is no more.

If you could collaborate with ANYONE in the world (past or present) who would it be and why?
I would love to so something with Paul Van Dyk, just because I have been a massive fan for so long now and also Noel from Oasis. Would love him to write something with him. I think the indie/rock influence in electronic music sounds wicked!

If you weren’t in the music game, what game would you be playing?
I don’t know any other games to play. I was a carpenter before I became a full time DJ.

Who gives you the most support in your life and work?
My family and my girlfriend. And also Joe who is mentioned above. My studio is still in my family home so they have to put up with all the noise constantly. They don’t mind though so happy days.

If you only had 3 months to live, what would you want to do with them?
I would want to travel to all the places I haven’t been yet, spend as much money as possible and spend as much time with all the people I love and like spending my time with. I’d defo have to squeeze seeing Carl Cox in there as well 😉

Tell us a little bit about the mix you have done for us?
It’s actually part of my set from Cream @ Amnesia in Ibiza. It was recorded this summer. It’s a peak time main room set from me, plenty of energetic, good quality electronic music.

We hear you’ve got an album coming out soon, tell us more..
It’s a concept I came up with over a year ago. It’s titled Timezone. Over the past 10 years I’ve visited every corner of the globe DJing. I thought it would be a great idea to write a track, which was influenced by these different parts of the world. I wrote 6 tracks in all. Each one had a different GMT title depending on which part of the word it was inspired by. I have done Ibiza, Guatemala City, LA, Melbourne, Manila and Cartagena. I brought in 6 up and coming, talented producers, some where from that particular part of the world. They remixed the tracks from the album. Then I pieced it all together into one musical Journey. It will be released on CD and all download stores from the 18th of October.

Give us the lowdown on what we can expect from you in the next 6 months?
I got the album out so expect a launch tour to celebrate the release of that. I have some wicked gigs lined up including Bedrocks 12th birthday alongside Carl Cox and John Digweed. Cream celebrates it’s 18th Birthday and I will be joining them also alongside Paul van Dyk, Laidback Luke, Funkagenda and many more. My new record label “Audio Junkie” is launching in November. The music we have signed on there is mind blowing I can’t wait to get the label off the ground. And also I have been hard at work in the studio working on my next techno monster for Intec so watch this space on that.
