Its been said everywhere: “Everybody wants to be a DJ” And this is true, but only a few bring something new to the table, something different, something exciting and rare. A true artist is always trying to achieve perfection in his work, on and off stage. A true artist is also always on point evolving and growing with each production and performance. Everybody wants to be a DJ, but only few live up to the expectations.
Jaimie Fanatic is an artist easily called unique and one of its kind. Try to define his genre and you wont be able to pin point it with one word. Well there is always the word “Banging”. Yes its house, but don’t be surprised to hear hip hop acapellas, punk rock riffs and pop grooves being seamlessly blended into a bad ass mix of banging music. Jaimie produces tracks in not a straight Banging house though. He has got an unique style. Many peoples calles his style by “Fanatic Houseâ€, cause it reminds easier when you listen to his music in clubs. Who knows, maybe this style will produce other good DJ’s while he is the only one. What will cause of birth of a new style officially. Leaving all standards far behind, ignoring any ‘rule’ and just being the bad boy of house music, he has earned his name being a true fanatic.
Spinning globally from USA to Asia, from Malta to Finland at parties, events and festivals ranging from 50 to 50.000 people. Holding a residency in Russia’s capital, Moscow, in Saxar Club and having released over 20 EPs with the latest 6 being signed within a 4 week period, he proves that the world is ready for his music. Supported by the likes of Tommie Sunshine, who recently signed him to his new XJR EU label.
What does this bad boy make so different from the crop? It was explained so well by a fan from Russia: “You speak with your audience!” Not only commenting on his kind and warm character for staying around to speak with the crowd after his set, but for his interaction with the people on the dancefloor while spinning. You don’t just listen to a Jaimie Fanatic set, you watch the show! “Interaction between the audience and me is so important, it builds the party!” And a party it always is!
This 30 year half indonesian/half dutch man has come a long way. His first release on Shockers (ID-T) “Sir Jamez – Wanna Dance” was charted #2 best EP in 2001 by Ken Ishii. His second release, with the famous DJ Misjah, was spun by the biggest names out there: DJ Misjah vs Sir Jamez – The Professor/The Professional and the Amateur. After this little breakthrough he gave birth to Groove Fanatics, his own label, with his first release (remix) being the summer hit of Amnesia (Ibiza) “DJ Misjah – Blow Up (Jaimie Fanatic – Break Up remix)”. Also Laidback Luke featured Jaimie’s unreleased “Destano” on his DJ Mix album “Windmill Skills”. After that, the wave of releases was on the go. Several EPs on his own label Groove Fanatics and recently over 6 EPs signed to labels all over the world.
All eyes are now on this bad boy for his performances and for his productions. The pressure rises but the fun has just begun. “Bad Boy 4 Life!
