“A full pelt wavering between tribal moments, hard-funking electro synths & more modest slabs of Detroit-inspired soul. The crowd respond at every turn.” – Steve McLay, DJ MAG

So now that the word is out, it’s about time to catch up with the boy himself: Vancouver-based DJ, producer, remixer and robot collector, Jay Tripwire has come a long way since the stand out 2001 release of ”Mastekilla” (Lunar Tunes) & his massive remix of the classic monster “Nervous Acid”. Jay’s productions now prove to be essential to any seriously jaded dancefloor!

Celebrating his fiftieth release much earlier than his 50th birthday with over a hundred thousand records put to good use on labels like Tango, Nightshift, Big Chief, End Recordings, Worship, Aztlan, Primal, Jah Love, Leaf, Deepen Discs, Repulica among others as well as his own Spaced Out, Random House & Northern Lights labels; licensed on mix album compilations by likes of Slam, Nick Warren, Chris Fortier & Danny Howells, and charted by everyone from John Digweed to Terry Francis; the only thing to worry about is sleep, which you will not get when you hear this jock rip up the world’s best dancefloors at Fabric, The End, Propoganda, Zouk, The Bomb, The Arches, OTV and beyond from Moscow to Singapore, and London to New York.

We know there are plenty of choices out there, but when it comes to naughty basslines, and dirty grooves there’s only one name: Jay Tripwire
