Deep Hype Sounds is a new label out of Chicago, that will focus on delivering quality dance music to the
global music scene from Ibiza To London, To Los Angeles. The first release features original tracks and remixes
from label owner’s Jose Zaragoza and Jesse Rivera.

The first track on the EP, To the one i love by Jose Zaragoza, is a combination of Jose’s musical taste.
Jose combines his love for house, latin, tracky, funky, and just plain fun into this song. Jose’s rolling
bassline and piano keys make the bulk of the track, and with a sprinkle of vocals,
it makes it a good feel song for those long summer nights. Hot Hot Hot!!!
Jesse Rivera remix adds another side to the original. Jesse picks up the tempo from the original, and adds
great effects onto the vocal, and arranges the song in a proper way, that you can’t help like it.

As for Too Cold by Jesse, he makes a fun lazy jazzy record made for a day at the beach. The bassline on too
cold will definitely catch your attention,but the main hook on this track is Jesse’s sprinkling of piano keys
and effects that makes you want to hear it over and over again.
Jose’s remix flips the script, and he makes it into a big room track. The bass is made for the big rooms, and
Jose’s programming of drums make the track ready for a many packed super clubs.

DJ Jose Zaragoza has been spinning for over 18 years, and has grown to
become a force in the worldwide underground house music community and
continues to prove himself as someone who is dedicated to pushing
electronic music forward. Jose’s style is best described as energetic
and with a combination of up-tempo disco, filter funky house, soulful
Latin flavored house and a sprinkle of techno added in for good
measure. His DJing and promotion has earned him booking around the
world, as well as a monthly residency at SmartBar in his hometown of
Chicago. Jose has traveled the globe playing across the U.S.A. , Canada
(Vancouver , Toronto , London , St. Catherine’s, Ottawa , Hamilton ,
Hull , Quebec City, Fredericton , St. John, Halifax), Europe (England ,
Germany , Belgium , France , Spain , Switzerland), Austria (Melbourne),
and U.A.E. (Dubai). It wasn’t until winning Mixer Magazine’s Mix Tape
Contest in 2000, that Jose finally had a chance to play to people
around the globe. Since winning this contest Jose?s mixes have been
reviewed well and has appeared in Canada’s (Klublife Magazine, Tribe,
Nocturnal, Ottawa Xpress, The Coast Newspaper), Europe (M8,
International DJ, Muzik Magazine), and finally U.S.A (Mixer, BPM, URB,
5magazine, Red Eye). His mix CDs have been aired on college and regular
radio stations in many parts of the world (England, France, Belgium,
Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Canada, and across the United
States). Jose currently holds a monthly at SmartBar in Chicago,
This year Jose and Jesse Rivera have formed their own record label (Deep Hype Sounds)
and their both releasing their own music on the label.

Jesse Rivera, Dj, producer, remixer, musician, and co-owner of Deep Hype Sounds, an
Independent record label out of Chicago, has always brought an eclectic mix of House,
Techno and warm latin sounds. In the late 90’s, Jesse initially started out by playing
guitar in various local bands in the Detroit area but transitioned towards producing shortly
after. In 2001, Jesse moved from Detroit to Chicago where he studied sound
engineering and soon began collaborations with several aspiring musicians. In 2008 Jesse teamed
up with Jose Zaragoza to start Deep Hype Sounds and Chicago House Syndicate, a house music project
including Jesse, Jose and vocalist Mizza.
Jesse’s Dj-ing is mainly house, but ranges through smooth latin rhythms, funky disco grooves,
jazzy melodies, electronic synth sounds, and warm Detroit chords. He expresses his love of music
through his Dj-ing by providing the crowd with many different flavors of music ranging from soulful
deep house to minimal techno beats.
