54 Music invites you to join them on their journey to becoming the

most talked-about, innovative, boundary smashing label in the UK.

With a launch set for in March 2009, in time for the Miami Winter

Music Conference (WMC), the label has one clear, objective – to

search for the future stars of tomorrow. With a diverse and dynamic

way of thinking, 54 Music intends to house a variety of genres spread

across two contrasting sides of the label: Light and Dark. Light will

host an assortment of more esoteric genres, including deep house,

broken beats, nu-jazz and all things eclectic. Dark meanwhile, will

play host to techno, tech house and minimal, for discerning followers

of the ‘intellectual techno movement’ 54 Music is set to take

dancefloors by storm, launching a nationwide search for talented

artists and producers, giving them the chance to make the trip Miami

for the WMC with them, and releasing or remixing a track on either

side of the label. This new concept is being brought to you by the

formidable 54 crew, who have been responsible for rocking London’s

foundations for the last 4 years. There will be four prizes in total,

prizes one and two will include a DJ set and music launch at London

Club 54, a trip to WMC, a remix by either AudioJack (Dark Side) or

Inland Knights (Light Side) and a release on 54 records. Prizes three

and four will include a DJ set and music launch at 54, and a remix by

either Kanio (Dark Side) or Shur-I-Kan (Light Side).

The most recent acquisition to this incredible outfit is Kanio, the

amazing techno producer who has flown through 2008 via the biggest

clubs and coolest parties around the world, and will be sliding into

position in the Dark Side of the label alongside the awesome

AudioJack. He brings with him a deep, techy sound and incredible

talent in both production and DJing, which he will transfer straight to

the track blessed with his remix. A regular feature on the minimal

and techno charts of the massive download site, Beatport, and on the

essential mix on Radio One, Kanio is flying high in the land of dance

and can only get bigger. This coupled with the amazing 54 Music is

sure to enhance the finest producing talent out there in this huge

competition.
