After the huge success of Kissdafunk’s 7th birthday events
with Dutch house superstar Afrojack, Leeds’ finest house
brand*bring you Toolroom Knights and Radio 1 legend
Dave Spoon in April.* Joining him will be one of the hottest
talents to hit the circuit in a very long time.*D.O.D.
One of the UK’s most exciting new producers/DJs, Dave
Spoon has recently ended his show on Radio 1 and has had
support from the likes of Pete Tong and Roger Sanchez
since he signed for*Toolroom*in 2004.* From*filthy funk to
energising electro via rolling techno and good ol’ fashioned
house music on labels such as*Toolroom, Nervous, Kinky
Vinyl, SR2 and Sunday Best, Spoon is as talented in the
studio as he is in the booth.
As for Mixmag ‘one to watch’ prize winning DJ D.O.D, his
energetic and eclectic sets have already given him
residencies at both Cream and Kissdafunk, whilst Radio 1
are also supporting him and his early production forays
hugely so he is sure to make for a great atmosphere when
he comes to the well appointed, tidy club that is
Gatecrasher, Leeds.
Next on the line-up is*KDF debutante Insomniac owner
Kane Towney.**His Insmoniac night has grown from
strength to strength in Leeds over the past couple of years
and so those in the city in the know will be delighted to see
him on the line-up. Finally, KDF*founder Rob Tissera will be
playing back to back with his good friend and*Uber head
honcho Marc Leaf.*
Meanwhile, Room 2 is to be hosted by local party crew
Shrug. Their up for it house music has won them legions of
fans in recent years and so is sure to have the second
room bouncing about like nobody’s business.
There be no fooling around on April 2nd, then, as KDF put
on another hot as hell party, just for you…
