Kryder releases smash single “K2â€w/ The Squatters Remix
on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom label
Since premiering at Ultra Music Festival in March, Kryder’s
“K2†has taken on a life of its own month’s before its
proper release. While the instrumental is already one of the
most talked about uplifting progressive house songs in
dance music it’s just the beginning…a monster electro
remix from The Squatters and forthcoming vocal version of
the track is poised to make “K2†one of the biggest songs
of the summer. Get it now only from Tiësto’s Musical
Freedom label.
First finding its way to Tiësto himself, “K2†became a staple
in the superstar DJ’s sets through the spring. From there
the track was circulated among the crème de la crème of
DJs, picking up consistent support from Swedish House
Mafia, Calvin Harris, Kaskade, Laidback Luke, Avicii,
Sander Van Doorn and more. After being hammered at
festivals around the world, keystone radio support from
Pete Tong and Judge Jules took the fervor to the masses.
In fact, “K2†is so hot that it landed an unheard of six
consecutive weeks of play in Judge Jules’ acclaimed Radio
1 show. “K2†quickly ascended to #12 in the DMC Buzz
Chart and noted “this club monster is so banging it hurtsâ€
with Mixmag (giving the track 5/5) adding “epic Miami
monster anthem…expect it to stick around throughout the
Ibiza season.â€
“K2â€â€™s secretive producer is known only by the name
“Kryder.†Clubbers around the world started clamoring to
know who Kryder is and debates surfaced on blogs and
dance forums with labels and artist managers joining the
hunt to track him down. While Mixmag identified Kryder as
a “Manchester promoter turned mysterious big-room
boomer†we can only tell you that behind the visor, Kryder
(still as mysterious as he is anonymous with his dwarf
sidekick – the classically-trained Dokta Kaotika – and a
circus freak show entourage) is the producer to look out for
in 2011.
Musical Freedom provides Tiësto with a vehicle to explore
exciting new sounds from all over the musical map. From
the initial Musical Freedom releases Tiësto vs Diplo –
“C’Mon†(over nine million YouTube views) and “C’Mon
(Catch ‘Em By Surprise)” featuring Busta Rhymes the label
has gone on to drop smashes including Tiësto & Hardwell –
“Zero 76,†Dada Life’s “Unleash The F*cking Dadaâ€, Henrik
B Feat. Christian Älvestam – “Now And Foreverâ€,
Bassjackers – “Mush, Mush” and Boys Will Be Boys – “We
Rock”
