i am an early adopter of streaming music and i have been both songza listener and a subscriber to google play music (gpm) for quite some time. since i already subscribe to gpm i haven’t been stressed like many others regarding the loss of songza and i accepted without hesitation the opportunity to switch to google play music. i see advantages to having songza playlists available via gpm. i now have full control and can go forward and back within the playlist where in songza we controlled it like a streaming radio, you could start and stop but not go back.
my favorite part of songza was not the concierge but the many wonderfully curated playlists i could find via genre and favorite. i loved pandora but their automated playlists, in my opinion, could not compare to the talented curators from sonza. also the songza playlists are so plentiful that i still find playlists i like and favorite them.
now i find not all my playlists were imported into gpm, such as my and many of my friend’s favorite: “mad men: sally’s secret dorm room party.” in fact all my mad men playlists are gone. why should i have to go through and worry about data loss because of what you have described as an “upgrade” from songza?
my concern is these playlists are lost. what i would like is to have all existing songza playlists available to me, not just those i’ve favorited. also i would like to know which of all gpm playlists originated from songza say using a search tag. songza is an important evolution in streaming music and should not be forgotten.
please correct these specific problems and address these overall issues
