    Mek002 – Single

    EMEF – “Szub Lysib”

    Mek Music’s 2nd release is certain to rock a couple of dance floors

    this Spring. Breaking away from the more popular techno elements,

    Mek Music’s featured artist EMEF shows us what happens when you

    combine crystal-clear production tactics with a solid groove. “Szub

    Lysib” is as catchy as it is funky and once you hear it you’ll be

    singing that melody for the next 48 hours. Minimal

    techno beats and IDM flavored harmonies intersect at this junction to

    deliver a beautifully produced single for the coming season.

    On the flip side’s “HiFi Mix”, EMEF has put away much of the driving

    rhythm in favor of a more dubbed-out spacey approach. While

    retaining much of the original’s harmonic structure and changing the

    rhythmic elements, this mix is a nice variation for those who really

    want to “chill”.

    Featured Artist – EMEF

    EMEF boasts a skill-set uncontested by many, for he is no less than a

    true “computer music virtuoso”. For the past decade, EMEF has

    worked internationally as both a sound programmer and engineer.

    He has put out a number of IDM recordings under different names in

    both Israel and New York. The most pioneering German music

    software companies, including Native Instruments and Ableton, have

    sought his expertise as a freelancer. EMEF’s music can be heard on a

    variety of television ads currently on air. He is also a founding

    member of CONDUIT, a NYC-based collective of performing electronic

    artists. EMEF has a number of scheduled releases on MEK for 2005,

    including a funky June 1st single featuring KimBlee (Wave Music) on

    vocals.
