    MOOCH!N @ 54 MILE END

    SATURDAY SEPT 27th
    2008

DeMarkus Lewis, a driving force behind today’s house
music sound and key player in the evolution of its future, has come a long way
in the last fifteen years. Releases on labels such as Moods n Grooves,
    Bluem, Roam, and Alluv Recordings
established DeMarkus as a respected deep
house artist early in his career. Then releases on Flat n Round, Nightshift,
Vista, Brique Rouge, Grab, Nordic Trax, Freaked and Guesthouse
    prove that
not only could he could capture the techier edge of some of tech-house’s
leading artists, but he had done it remarkably well. Since then, his music has
received support from Diz, Joshua, Music For Freaks, David Duriez, Phil
Weeks, Phonique, Lady D, Hipp-e, Doc Martin, and DJ Heather
    to name a few.

As a DJ, there is no doubt that DeMarkus can work a crowd.
In fact, promoters and venues worldwide have booked him repeatedly due to the
overwhelming response he gets from the dance floor. This led to a monthly
    residency in Chicago at Zentra
playing alongside Derrick Carter and Paul Johnson. He enjoys
    playing throughout the US
and in locations in the UK,
    Belgium, Spain,
    Canada, Brazil,
    Chile, Germany,
    France, Russia,
    Holland, Switzerland,
    Bulgaria, Belgium
    and Mexico.

Lee Jarvis is soon to be moving to Chicago,
motherland of house music. So unless you want to fork out an airfare to see him
spin with some of the house music elite over there, I suggest you get along to
Moochin 😉 Lee’s forthcoming productions have been gaining support from Mark
    Farina, Diz, Sound Republic
    ,
to add to fans of past tracks, such as Justin Long, DJ Sneak and 1200
    Warriors
    .

Fazed Music is a label spawned from a true love of
underground music. Head Honcho Ashley Roberts wasted no time by picking
up cuts from John Larner, Late Night Society, Giom and Demarkus, and
proved that he knows his stuff by drafting in remixers such as Natural
Rhythm and our very own Jarv
. Launched in late 2006, Fazed focuses upon
deeper soulful edged sounds through to more techy cuts, and you can expect
Ash’s set to please fans from all corners of house.

We’ve also made the most of the new 2 room venue, 54 Mile
End, by getting our residents to spin a bit of ‘anything goes’ in the bar, as
opposed to just propping the thing up. Both Giles Butler and Jon Fynn
have a vast collection of music, and expect perfect bar groove sounds from
beachy house to deep spacey disco to classic funk breaks and more
    .
