Muak – GO’s DEEP with FISH GO DEEP’s Dj Greg Dowling

    ————————————–

MUAK returns with special guest Greg Dowling Dj resident and producer for the phenomenal FISH GO DEEP, adding to the roster of internationally acclaimed artists that have been welcomed into the MUAK family, (which have to date included DJ Deep, Marques Wyatt, Franck Roger, Rocco Rodamaal, Knee Deep and Audiowhores amongst many others).

Perhaps best known for the smash hit ‘The Cure and the Cause’, which the house an-them throughout 2006, after a re-release by house giant, Defected, spending the final weeks of the year in the UK Top Forty Chart. Upon viewing his profile it is easy to see why Greg Dowling has become the latest guest of the Muak family. . . .

Fish Go Deeps residency at < ?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Ireland’s longest running and best known house club, Sweat at Sir Henry’s in Cork, spanned more than a decade and influenced a generation of Irish clubbers and DJs.

Since finishing Sweat in 2001, Greg has travelled with Fish Go Deep across Ireland, the UK, Europe and throughout the US and Canada. In addition to a weekly residency in their home-town of Cork.

Since early 2004, Greg has hosted the Go Deep show on Cork’s Red FM and syndicated to Istanbul station, Power FM and together with Shane has also contributed numerous mixes to Ireland’s national music station, 2fm, Dublin’s Spin FM, Nova (Paris), FMR (Toulouse) and Planet Soul (Toronto).

Greg’s production work under the Fish Go Deep name has been enthusiastically received in recent years, earning praise from DJS, dancers and journalists around the globe.

New Jersey‘s seminal i! Records have released five Fish Go Deep EPs since September 2000. Other productions have appeared on French label Brique Rouge (“superb deep house” xlr8r magazine), Chicago‘s Gourmet (“quality club grooves” DJ Magazine), New York‘s Chez Mu-sic (“sumptuous” Blues&Soul) and England‘s Inspirit Music.

In recent years, Fish Go Deep tracks have been included on dozens of compilations, on labels in the US, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Ireland and South Africa.

In 2005 Greg and Shane launched two of their own imprints, Ork Recordings, and Go Deep.

Initial releases on both labels have found favour with such heavyweight DJs as Danny Tena-glia, Laurent Garnier, Louie Vega, Timmy Regisford and Pete Tong, and have been li-censed to many different territories.

It is for these reasons residents Zaki & Manish are proud to welcome DJ Greg Dowling to Muak for what is sure to be a musically inspiring night.

Muak returns for the second instalment of a new bi-monthly series at East London’s best un-derground venue Bar 54. After the first MUAK party which saw a one-in/one out policy at the venue by 12 o’clock this is sure to be yet another road block event.

Providing additional support on the night will be head honcho of Shack Music Soy Mustafa providing a soulful backdrop to the deeper house sound that MUAK has pioneered.

Confirming the line up, organiser Zaki Lais said: “This Muak is set to be the best yet and will represent the essence of what Muak is all about – bringing the best DJ’s from around the world to provide quality music to a quality crowd. With this exciting line-up playing to one of the most knowledgeable parties in London, Muak are set to deliver a quality night yet again.”
