DJ Fudge touches down to celebrate Muak’s 3rd Birthday
Muak (People Together) celebrate three years of preaching the gospel of deep house music as this month it invites the acclaimed French producer and remixer DJ Fudge to celebrate their third birthday.
Taking place on Saturday 11 November 2006 at London’s Sub Club, a 600 people capacity venue in the heart of London’s Hoxton, the night will also feature an exclusive back-to-back set by Muak founders and residents DJ Zaki and Manish. Completing the line up in the main room will be Soy Mustafa (Shack Music) and Muak stalwart Brother Nick.
Since 1999 DJ Fudge has been an integral part of the influential wave of ‘French Touch’ music that has been felt in all four corners of the globe. With over forty 12 inch releases on all of the labels that matter he has collaborated with a wide range of renowned artistes such as Colonel Abrams, Michelle Weeks, Rod Chezere, Many Hoffman, and Blaze.
In 2004 DJ Fudge partnered Edy Benromdam to create ‘Afromento’. After only two releases, including the acclaimed ‘Human Waves’ they were recently signed up by Soulfuric Records and they are already hot in the boxes of tastemaker DJs including Tony Humphries, Timmy Regisford, Aaron Ross and Simon Dunmore. Always on the look out for new projects, DJ Fudge has now launched his own label Tejal Records, which will see further quality releases expressed without compromise.
Looking forward to his first Muak appearance, DJ Fudge said: “I can’t wait to touch down at Muak. I’ve only heard good things about these guys and they certainly know how to party so I’m looking forward to being part of it.â€
In room two music and party lovers alike will be well catered for by other Muak residents including FreeForm Collective, People Like Us, Rob Chapman, Billy Perez and Toast burglar as they keep the party in full flow.
Putting the finishing touches to what promises to one of the highlights of the clubbing calendar, organiser Zaki Lais said: “The last year has seen Muak really come of age and this special third birthday party will allow us to celebrate with all the people who have supported us over the last year and been central to our success. We’re continuing to preach the gospel of house music and we’re just glad that so many people seem to be listening.â€
