MusicMonk is a location-based web and mobile application, which
allows users to discover what musical events are taking place in their
area based on pre-defined musical preferences. Depending on their
favourite musical genres, users have the ability to search for events,
buy tickets and spontaneously discover relevant events in relation to
their location.
MusicMonk has been created from the experiences of over 30 years
in the music entertainment industry, with a team consisting of DJ’s,
promoters, club owners, label managers, agents and venture
capitalists with vast experience in media start up’s. We have brought
together the latest technology along with the insider knowledge
gained through this extensive experience to bring consumers the
only platform they’ll need to find the music they love, wherever they
are, whenever they want it.
Launching on web, iPhone and Blackberry applications, MusicMonk
provides both an intuitive interface for promoters and venues to add
events in seconds, along with genre and location driven search
engines for users we like to call “MonkMusos†– individuals whose
passion is music. iPhone users can select their preferred genres, and
from then on just “ShakeTheMonkâ€. By using the inbuilt
accelerometer the application provides listing of events in your
current location playing your preferred genres of music, simply by
shaking your iPhone.
Using your Blackberry is just as simple. You can just select the
“ShakeTheMonk†feature and you get a list of all the events
happening in your local area. You can also search for any type of
music you want, from House to Hip-Hop and Retro to Rock, anywhere
in the world. The choice is all yours. We give promoters a global
platform to advertise their events to individuals who really want to
know about them. They can list an event in seconds, upload flyers,
sell tickets and even offer guest-lists or VIP tables.
We also give venue owners the ability to set up a gallery to display
images of their venue, and add events just like a promoter. We are
adding new functionality for all our platforms on a weekly basis, with
