    hi this was the song played by Pete Tong as his first track tonight on Radio 1.

    it is about 14 years old

    it is a classic track. starts softly, with the melody coming in quietly, followed by the beat. then the other drums come in on top. ending in the the piano breakdown

    there is one lyric, which sounds like ‘you got a beat for me?’ and the occasional ‘HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!’

    it was a track Dj Sy used back in the day and scratched vehemently throughout

    you all know this track! i just can’t think of the name 😉

    i thought i had it… i woke up with the tune in my head – and thought – Nagasaki EP by Ken Doh! alas this is not it.

    it’s along the same lines and quite similar but not the same

    AGAIN, i got it wrong exactly when it was on. it was played by Vernon Kay as he mentions Pete Tong is in the building, so 20 minutes before the end of his show. Pete Tong does come on over it though
