    Hello, everyone.

I stumbled across this forum and thought I would join. Lately, I have been drawn to all kinds of house music. Although I love progressive, the earliest forms of house always make me want to dance.

With that said, I am having trouble with a song. When I say trouble, I mean TROUBLE! When I lived overseas (6 years old; 88-91), my family apparently taped a sitcom from one of the national channels. I put the VHS in last week for nostalgic purposes. To my surprise, there is a dance club scene that has a powerful funky house song on it! The problem is that the foreign voices cover up the song and it is hard to decipher all of the lyrics. On top of all this, I couldn’t seem to scout the song out on hardtofindrecords.com.

It is driving me crazy, but hopefully someone can come to my rescue. Here are the lyrics I was able to decipher for the most part.

“Do you want to dance with me, it must be true…

But you by my side, showing me the way.

I want you…I want you for more.”

I hope I didn’t severally destroy the lyrics. I know this is a tall order, but if it helps any, the singer is a very soulful male. Circa 1989-1991. I appreciate it if anyone can help.
