I’ve just heard that there’s a new album by a band called “The
Super-Phonics” that features the cream of the UK funk/acid jazz
scene. The trax are a mixture of funked-up/disco-ed House.
Called ‘Interstellar’, it boasts Jan kincaid, simon bartholomew (The
Brand New Heavies), Snowboy (& The Latin Section), Nick Van
Gelder (Jamiroquai), Gary Crockett (JTQ), JP ‘Bluey’ Maunick (I think
you might have heard of this guy!), Andy Ross (The Herbaliser), Mike
Smith (Jamiroquai, Blur, Gorillaz), Jim Hunt (Primal Scream, The
Verve), Dominic Glover, Nichol Thomson etc…….. As well as
blistering vocals from the delicious Miss Lucy & guest vocalist Imaani
Shall i go on?
I’ve heard some of the trax and have to say that this album is
f***ing awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
