For their 9th release on OU Light, the Often Gruven crew gave the
mandate to the excellent producer Nick da Cruz from Germany. It
resulted in a combination of two highly contagious dance tracks. Da
Cruz’s style here is expressed through perfectly orchestrated
killing basslines used as structural foundations keeping the integrity
of his sustained-bouncy rhythms and methodically inserted clicks-
and-clacks(!), slightly and momentarily overlapped with valuable
filtered-dub vocals. Both MaMaMa and Mind are presented in a deep
format… in my mind… my mind… my mind (bis). Try to resist!
